New Characters
Three new characters will be released in the 1.2 patch – two being 5* rarity and one 4*.
Blade
Blade is a 5* Wind character who follows the path of Destruction.
Blade is a Wind-Type character following the Path of Destruction. He can consume his own HP in exchange for a higher DMG and possesses the ability to heal. The higher his Max HP, the greater his DMG. His skill will consume his HP, increase his DMG, and enhances his Basic ATK. Attacking the enemy with Blade’s Enhanced Basic ATK will continue to deplete his HP and deal Wind DMG to a single target, as well as adjacent enemies based on his attack and Max HP. Blade’s Ultimate will set his current HP to 50% of his Max HP and deal Wind DMG to a single enemy and the adjacent enemies based on his ATK, Max HP, and total HP lost in the current battle (up to a set limit). When Blade sustains DMG or consumes his HP, his Talent will be activated where he gains stacks of Charge. Once he reaches the maximum Charge stack, he immediately launches a follow-up attack on all enemies and stores a certain amount of HP.
Here’s a bit of lore information about him:
A swordsman who abandoned his body to become a blade. Birth name unknown. He pledges loyalty to Destiny’s Slave, and possesses a terrifying self-healing ability. Blade wields an ancient sword riddled with cracks, just like his body and his mind.

| Talent | Shuhu’s Gift | When Blade consumes his HP or sustains damage, he gains 1 stack of Charge. When at max stacks of Charge, Blade will launch a follow-up attack dealing damage to all enemies. He will also heal himself. |

Kafka
Kafka is a 5* Lightning character who follows the path of Nihility.
Kafka is a Lightning-Type character following the Path of Nihility. She can Shock enemies and deal additional DoT to enemies inflicted with DoT. Her Talent and Ultimate have chance of inflicting the enemies with Shock. In addition, her Skill and Ultimate can cause all DoTs currently applied to the enemies to deal additional DoT equal to a certain percentage of the original DMG.
Here’s a bit of lore information about her:
On the Interastral Peace Corporation’s wanted list, Kafka’s entry only has two things — her name, and a single sentence: “Likes collecting coats.” Little is known about this Stellaron Hunter aside from her being one of Destiny’s Slave Elio’s most trusted members. In order to achieve Elio’s envisioned future, Kafka gets to work.

Luka
Luka is a 4* Physical character who follows the path of Nihility.
Luka is a Physical-Type character following the Path of Nihility. He can cause enemies to Bleed and deal additional Bleed DMG to Bleeding enemies. Luka’s Skill can inflict Bleed on enemies. During combat, he can gain stacks of Fighting Will through various methods. By consuming a certain number of Fighting Will stacks, he can use Enhance Basic ATKs that can immediately deal additional Bleed DMG equal to a certain percentage of the original DMG to Bleeding enemy targets.
Here’s a bit of lore information about him:
An optimistic and carefree fighter with a mechanical arm. Skilled in mixed martial arts and is a Wildfire member. From the fight cage to the battlefield, and from a fighter to a warrior, Luka uses his strength to protect the people of the Underworld. He wishes to bring hope to others precisely because he had experienced despair himself.

New Light Cones
Two new Light Cones will be added in the 1.2 patch of Honkai: Star Rail, but only their art has been revealed – we will need to wait for the drip marketing to start to find out what exactly the Light Cones are doing!
New Banners
Four new banners will be available in the 1.2 patch of Honkai: Star Rail – two character ones and two Light Cone ones. For the upcoming character banners, here’s the order we will get them:
Blade Banner
The 4* characters featured on Blade’s banner are:
- Arlan
- Sushang
- Natasha
The banner will start instantly after the maintenance on the 18 July ends and will last for 3 weeks.
Kafka Banner
The 4* characters featured on Kafka’s banner are:
- Luka
- Sampo
- Serval
The banner will start on the 8 August and will last for 3 weeks.
New Main Story Chapter
Finally, we will get the continuation of the Main Story!
New Areas
Two new areas will be added with the 1.2 patch of Honkai: Star Rail. This means new enemies, new boxes, and new daily farming routes!
Alchemy Commission
The Alchemy Commission once demonstrated the way of immortality. However, as the Ambrosial Arbor was discarded, the commission’s social position plummeted and no longer sways the balance of power in the Xianzhou.
Scalegorge Waterscape
Lunarescent Depths in the Vidyahara’s sacred site. To supress the Ambrosial Arbor, the Vidyadhara sealed the Arbor’s roots in this delve millennia ago.
New Enemies
Malefic Ape
An ape as tall as mountainous boulders with terrifying might. When the Ambrosial Arbor still stood, the Xianzhou people bred many fantastic creatures with their esoteric techniques. Malefic Apes were one of the war beasts that walked alongside the army.
The Ascended
The form that the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus crave. A true shape that cast off the burdens of humanity and has been reforged using the way of immortality.
Evil Yanqing
General Jing Yuan’s retainer. A gifted swordsman who hasn’t even come of age.
Phantylia the Undying
And here’s probably the final boss of the new story update – Phantylia. Her fight will consist of 3 stages:
- Stage 1 – Summons Abundance lotuses that restore her HP and steal the player’s Skill Points. You can destroy the Lotus to get the Skill Points back.
- Stage 2 – Summons Destruction lotuses that reduce players’ max HP and deal damage when they bloom.
- Stage 3 – nothing was revealed in the stream about it.
Once you finish the new story, she will be added to the Echo of War boss lists. She will drop materials needed for Blade, Kafka, and Luka.
New Relics
Four new Relic Sets will become available in the 1.2 patch of Honkai: Star Rail! Keep in mind their values weren’t revealed so we replaced them with xx.

| Rutilant Arena | Planetary Set | 2: Increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by xx%. When the wearer’s current CRIT Rate reaches xx% or higher, the wearer’s Basic ATK and Skill DMG increase by xx%. |

The two new Relic sets will drop from a new Cavern of Corrosion and the two new Planetary Set will drop from World 7 of Simulated Universe.

The civilian scientist Regin’s sensor picks up a new reading. After heading to the coordinates to investigate the cause of the abnormal readings, it appears to be… a mysterious Trotter?
Voyage of Navis Astriger
This is a one-time clear permanent mode inside Forgotten Hall and here’s the special buff available there:
DMG dealt to enemy targets are shared between all enemies. When allies use AoE or Blast ATK abilities, increase DMG dealt by 50%.
Also, you can obtain a Yukong copy for clearing the first stage of this mode.
Gift of Odyssey
Other updates
- Chat functionality will be enabled and you will be able to change the design of the message boxes,
- 2 new companion missions will be added:
- Kafka
- Yukong
- New materials will be added that are required to upgrade Blade, Kafka, and Luca,
- You can obtain them from the new Stagnant Shadow and Echo of War.
- Simulated Universe World 7 will be added.
New codes
Three new codes were revealed during the live stream:

Each gives 100 Stellar Jades and other goodies.
