    Hey everyone,

    I could really use some help because I’m getting frustrated.

    This all happened during the big duping/banning issue earlier this year.

    My account was suspended on February 29, 2024. When I submitted a ticket, they said the ban was because of a Bloody Knight Shield and asked how I got it. I told them I got it from a Prontera vendor. They said a specialist would look into it, and my account wouldn’t be unlocked until the investigation was complete.

    Then, on June 15, I was contacted again and asked how I got a Shadow Kachua Gear (Shoe). I explained that I traded a self-farmed MVP card for the Shadow Kachua Gear set and sent them my trade info and screenshots.

    The only update I’ve received is that the GM is still waiting to hear back from the specialist team, and it’s still under investigation.

    It’s been six months now. How much longer will this take?

    I’m hoping someone here, maybe a CM, can help out.

    Notes:

    everything is self farmed, i farm MVP card get them verified by GM and sell them for zeny, didnt dupe or do anything illegal, i can provide those verification ticket to GM or CM if necessary though im sure staff can check the list of submitted ticket for drop verification on my support account

    6 months over a pleb item likeBloody Knight Shield? That is quite unreasonable for them to take so long to resolve your account, especially since it was bought from a vendor in Prontera... They should've fixed it by deleting that item and returning the zeny you paid for it. That's quite frustrating it'd take this long! Hope a staff can help escalate this to get it resolved.

    Can't they just either delete the item or reverse the trade, especially since you have the trade screenshots and details. 6 months is way too long.

    CM/Vmods, can anything be done to escalate this?

    Damn, 6 months to investigate an issue which should hardly take a week? 2+ months to investigate and ask about something totally unrelated to the issue at hand... High time someone takes this up and sorts it out. We pour our hard earned money into KPs and accounts only to getsuspended, and to wait 6 months for no resolution?

    Either have an SLA / escalation mechanism in place. The player didn't dupe, if the item he bought was duped then ban the seller / vendor and resolve the issue. Too many dupers in prontera who run scot-free and GMs don't do nothing, but innocent buyers being suspended for extended periods?

    The investigation is quite frustrating due to their delayed actions. Regarding the ban, why were you banned from the game? It’s highly suspicious that they took such action without providing a proper legal explanation. This reflects poor management. I have also submitted tickets before, but they rarely provide resolutions. Instead, they just question you and then leave the issue unresolved.

    I wish we could rate the tickets to reflect the quality of service provided by the GMs/CMs. Often, the issue is not with us, but with their lack of timely responses.

    GM, please handle this ticket. how come its already 6 months of investigation and nothing came out?

    so you are telling us its not safe to buy from vend? should we send ticket for every vendor item we bought?

    Please note that during this time, Im sure GMs have been getting tons of tickets. Lots of drama going on. So hang in there.

    They have two options for them to resolve this issue easily:

    1. Reverse the trade and unblock your account.
    2. Delete the items that are poroblematic and unblock your account.

    I dont know why they cannot just do that and resolve it. I hope they resolve your issue quickly.

        i was not banned, just suspended. and i was asked about something i bought from pron board (note: item was bought about a year ago before i got suspended and its rotting in storage) and a trade item. which i also provided the name of that player and screenshot of the trade. MVP Card for that Item. i am as clueless as a carrot.

            Yes, I feel like this issue should be addressed. There have a lot of false bans of players who received duplicated items via trade(s). I feel like this causes others to be skeptical and untrustworthy of others. This would cause all players, after a trade, to send a ticket to verify the validity and ethicality of their traded good(s). Are the dupers being punished in any way? It seems like you can track duped items, but is it possible to track it to the source? i.e. find the original source, and ban those players before the duplicated items go into circulation? I feel like this also affects merchants(people who buy low and sell high) because they would constantly send tickets in to verify their goods before buying/reselling.

            This would also affect newer players the most. For example: If a player returns to or is introduced to iRO for the first time, they may enjoy the game enough to spend. They may get lucky and get a big ticket item from OCP or Kachua Key; let's say they got a sealed map card, but their class doesn't need or use the sealed mvp card they acquired. They may decide to trade it for an end game luxury item for their class. They find a prospective trader, and trade the goods. Unfortunately, they got a duped item from the trade; they got banned. They weren't privy enough to send a ticket to verify their good(s). Why are legitimate players who received the duped items being punished? Why aren't the dupers being punished?

            The original poster said they contacted support numerous times to help resolve the issue, however no support, response, or resolution was given. Is this really how support treats/responds to players? This harms the reputation of support amongst the playerbase. Players wouldn't trust other players, and players would be skeptical or over reliant to contact support for their issues.

            6-months suspended and he's still here! That dedication!

            You guys thought you could sweep this under the rug and wait for the player to quit but here we are!

            It's an easy fix with items you yourself can trace, it doesn't have to take 6-months to resolve this.

              6 months, and no resolution? Evidence of trade, and buying of the items were provided, so what's stopping these GMs to unlock your account? Procrastination? Or maybe, they just put aside your ticket to be rotten? Half a year waiting is ridiculous! The players are even more competent to provide a solution of this case. Lol.

              I hope the CMs will read this, and relay it to the GMs, and the said specialists.

              On this topic, I think that banning / suspending account is not the right approach.

              If. An account found with multiple identical item ( suspected source of duping ) should be banned or suspended.

              An account found with a single duped item, which could have been purchased from others. Ideally should have the item removed from the player account and a official rodex from the gm team to inform that the item has been removed, advise player to log a ticket submit relevant information to reverse trade.

              None of us wants to be a victim of these duped items and had our account suspended for months! Thus many of us has been submitting verification ticket. Causing a influx of "useless" ticket in your system.

              The amount of sheer incompetence that the GM's show in such matters just breaks the spirit of a player. Been there and I know how frustrating it is when they slap you with "I do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you". Please just escalate this matter CM Poring.
